ALPHABET 1. Listening to the song “Alphabet”. Play the recording. 2. Teacher asks learners words which start with A, B, C 1st group say words start with A 2nd group say words start with B 3rd group say words start with C
3. Teacher explains new letter D. Learners listen to the song and repeat it. 4. Teacher gives them copybooks and learners write new letter GROUPWORKING Learners make a “My toys” collage. Teacher provides learners with a card on the blackboard, glue/tape and a range of different images to cut out and stick on different ways PHYSICAL MOMENT 1.Learners sing a song 1 to 20 and dance. DAYS OF THE WEEK 1.Teacher explain days of the week and learners repeat it after teacher. 2. Learners listen to the song and sing together OVERWRITING 1. Focusing on the initial letter sound of the days of the week. Learners practice overwriting capital letters M T W Th F S S [upper case letters] – initial day of week letters.
GROUPWORKING Learners make a “Days of the Week” collage. Teacher provides learners with a week calendar, glue/tape and a range of different images to cut out and stick on different days
